Protective measures for potassium persulfate
1、 Hazards of potassium persulfate
1, in contact with organic compounds, reducing agents, inflammable substances such as sulphur and phosphorus, it will cause the danger of combustion and explosion. After rapid heating, it will explode. When it explode, it will oxidize sulphur and oxygen. Water is not easy to extinguish. It is suggested to use fog water, foam and sand to extinguish fire.
2. Dichloroethane is inhaled and quickly leaves the site to fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, perform artificial respiration immediately and seek medical advice.
3. Harm to human body: inhalation of this product dust is irritating to nose, throat and respiratory tract, causing cough and chest discomfort. Irritating to eyes. Swallowing stimulates the oral cavity and gastric Yang canal, causing abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting. Chronic hazard: skin rash may occur in people with allergic constitution.
4. Leakage treatment:
Isolate contaminated areas and restrict access. It is recommended that emergency personnel wear dust masks and gas protective clothing. Do not touch the oil leakage directly. Do not let the leakage come into contact with organic matter, reducing agent and inflammables. Minor leakage: Sprinkle soda ash on the ground and collect it in a dry, clean and covered container. A large amount of water can also be used for flushing, and the flushing water can be diluted into the wastewater system. Massive leakage: collect, recycle or transport to waste disposal site for disposal.
2、 Protective measures
1. Skin contact: take off contaminated clothes immediately and rinse with plenty of flowing water for at least 15 minutes.
2. Eye contact: lift the eyelids immediately and wash with flowing water or normal saline for at least 15 minutes. See a doctor.
3. Inhalation: leave the site to a place with fresh air. Keep the respiratory tract unobstructed. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If breathing stops, perform artificial respiration immediately. See a doctor.
4. Ingestion: drink enough warm water to induce vomiting. See a doctor.
5. Fire fighting measures
6. Hazard characteristics: inorganic oxidant. Contact or mixing with organics, reducing agents and combustibles such as sulfur and phosphorus may cause combustion and explosion Explosion occurs when heated rapidly.
7. Harmful combustion products: sulfur, oxygen.
